Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino is at the centre of a shock controversy after ranting incoherently about Mr Bean for twenty minutes.

The Argentine was pressed for his reaction to Fifa opening disciplinary proceedings against Dele Alli for showing Kyle Walker the middle finger during England’s 2-1 win over Slovakia.

But no one was ready for the tide of Mr Bean flavoured broadsides that this elicited.

Pochettino roared: “WTF, man? What, are we going to have to ban Mr Bean now?

“I mean, Mr Bean head-butted the Queen, didn’t he? How is showing Kyle Walker the finger worse than that?

“Mr Bean customised his own car so he could sit atop it in an armchair, and proceeded to drive it around public roads. That could have ended really, really badly.

“And yet Dele is the one getting punished. This makes no sense to me.”

He added: “Do you have nineteen more minutes to spare? I’m not done with the Mr Bean gripes.”

Mr Bean declined to comment.
