Football Burp understands that Mohamed Diamé has left Hull City in order to accept a zero hours contract at a bar.
The midfielder jumped at the chance to make the step up to temporary bar work after rejecting an offer from the local council to be a road sweeper.
Diamé, whose playoff final winner against Sheffield Wednesday got Hull promoted to the Premier League, has also turned down offers from Uber, Starbucks and Newcastle United.
Speaking exclusively to a better funded rival website, Diamé spoke of his delight at the move.
He said: “It’s always been every boy’s dream to earn buttons pouring pints for abusive alcoholics.
“Well, clearly that’s not quite true, but compared to what lies ahead at Hull it feels like I’m joining Real f***ing Madrid.
“Did you know the Allams have been going around with felt tip pens changing the word ‘Hull’ to ‘Hulk’ everywhere they see it?
“They’re completely mad, and I do realise I say that as someone who once declared himself good enough for a top 6 club.
“Now, what can I get you?”
