Manchester City are out of the Champions League after losing 3-1 in Monaco, rounding off a decidedly bad week for European Citizens.

The last 16 second leg defeat piled on the misery for the football team slash Brexit bargaining chips, who yesterday saw a proposed House of Lords amendment to guarantee their rights rejected.

Hilariously slash unfortunately, City bow out on the away goals rule having won 5-3 at home in the first leg.

Speaking exclusively to Football Burp, Man City boss Pep Guardiola remained philosophical.

He said: “As both an EU citizen living in the UK and the manager of the Citizens in Europe, this week has hit me quite hard.

“Although I’ll try not to, I can’t guarantee I won’t completely lose it and start doing weird s*** with full-backs again.

“If you see it happening, maybe chuck some smelling salts in my face or something.

“Nice one, lad.”

In retrospect, it might not have been Pep Guardiola.
