Swansea City manager Carlos Carvalhal says he’ll stop peppering his interviews with whimsically eccentric quotes as soon as his new team embarks on its first losing streak.
The Portuguese boss has captured media hearts with his quirky utterances about cake, meat and Formula 1 cars in the wake of precious Premier League victories.
But he is nevertheless aware that he will irritate supporters half to death if he continues to do so during the inevitable long winless run.
He told Football Burp: “It’s like the oyster on the mountaintop – when the wind starts to change, you must pack away the umbrellas.
“I can’t be any clearer than that.”
Claudio Ranieri was unavailable for comment.
