Former England manager Graham Taylor has disrespected the colour orange one final time by passing away just days before Donald Trump is due to be inaugurated as President of the United States.
Taylor enjoyed hugely successful stints at Watford and Aston Villa, guiding both to 2nd place top flight finishes, but his spell managing his country unravelled with failure to qualify for the 1994 World Cup.
Key to that failure was a defeat to Holland that spawned the immortal words “do I not like orange”, a conviction it seems that Taylor held onto right to the last.
He will now be spared the ignominy of being alive to see a perma-tanned reality TV show motor-mouth be anointed into the world’s highest office.
Tweeting in capital letters exclusively to Football Burp, an irate Trump accused us of being “fake news”.
He said: “LIAR LIAR PANTS ON FIRE!
“MY OFFICE IN TRUMP TOWER IS WAY HIGHER UP THAN THE ONE I’LL BE GETTING IN THE WHITE HOUSE, SO THAT’S THE WORLD’S HIGHEST OFFICE!
“YOU’LL BE HEARING FROM MY LAWYER VERY SOON, I CAN TELL YOU!”
