These were the best Millwall fans jokes as violent scenes in the stands accompanied their 3-1 defeat to Barnsley in the League One play-off final at Wembley.
Some of the Lions faithful reportedly stormed a security barrier in order to fight their Tykes counterparts, who will get to watch their side in next season’s Championship thanks to goals from Ashley Fletcher, Adam Hammill and Lloyd Isgrove.
For Millwall, however, a poor day on the pitch was compounded by a poor day off it, one which will do little to combat the mantra “nobody likes us but we don’t care”.
As you might imagine, social media was teeming with Millwall fans jokes:
It's a sad occasion for #Millwall so they're holding a minutes's violence.

At least Millwall were trying to fight opposition fans this time and not themselves. This is progress.
