These were the best Mike Dean jokes as the controversial referee once again made himself the centre of attention, this time with a ridiculous red card for West Ham’s Sofiane Feghouli against Man Utd.

Just fifteen minutes had elapsed when Feghouli entered into a challenge with Phil Jones, one which if anything looked more of a foul by the Red Devils defender than the Irons midfielder.

Not one to shy away from unduly stamping his mark on a game, Dean sent Feghouli off and set ten-man West Ham on course for a battling 0-2 defeat.

Needless to say, there was no shortage of Mike Dean jokes in the aftermath of the incident:
