Saudi Arabia scored deep into both halves to beat Egypt 2-1 and finish third in Group A, with both teams already eliminated before kick-off.
The Saudis had a penalty saved by 45-year-old Essam El-Hadary, the oldest player in World Cup history, who capped a memorable day by clawing Fahad Al-Muwallad’s spot kick onto the crossbar.
At that point Egypt were still leading 1-0 thanks to Mohamed Salah’s opener, but they lost to goals from Salman Al-Faraj and Salem Al-Dawsari well into stoppage time in each half.
The result left Egypt bottom of the group with three defeats out of three and they’ll no doubt be wondering what could have been with a fully fit Salah.
Here are the best of the jokes from Saudi Arabia 2-1 Egypt at Russia 2018:
Egypt and Saudi Arabia could have just played this at the airport

I swear Saudi Arabia's only win against Egypt is proof that GOD has never really forgiven the Egyptians for the slavery.
