These were the best jokes as Spurs lost 1-2 to Chelsea in their first Premier League game of the season at Wembley, their temporary home while construction of a new ground at White Hart Lane is completed.
A late own goal scored by Chelsea’s Michy Batshuayi was not enough for Mauricio Pochettino’s side, who were eventually outdone by an even later Marcos Alonso strike, in addition to the defender’s earlier free-kick.
Tottenham have now lost seven out of their last ten matches at the national stadium, only managing to win once, and fans are beginning to be fearful of a long list of fixtures ahead.
Here are the best of the jokes as Spurs continue their miserable run of form at Wembley with a 1-2 defeat to Chelsea:

By the time Spurs get used to playing at Wembley, it'll be time to move back to White Hart Lane.

I can't believe Spurs are being allowed to use the iconic Wembley for their home fixtures. It's the equivalent of Burnley using Ewood.

5 – Tottenham's all-time top scorer in games at Wembley is own goals, with Michy Batshuayi's being the fifth netted in favour of them. Oops.
