Philippe Coutinho’s inevitable move from Liverpool to Barcelona was confirmed on Saturday when the clubs announced a £142m deal agreed between them.
The Brazilian international’s new side are expected to pay £105m upfront, a British record transfer fee, with the rest in ‘realistic addons’.
This is a selection of the best jokes as Liverpool confirm the big money sale of Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona:
Coutinho saw Busquets' turn in the classico looked back at Henderson and called his agent immediately

To put Coutinho's £145m price tag in context, that's an off-peak return from Newcastle to London Kings Cross purchased up to two months in advance.

I wonder when Coutinho will be back from his injury for his debut.

People asking #LFC for money back on Coutinho shirts!! If you were stupid enough to put Coutinho on the back of your new shirt, you deserve a good slap… not money back! 😒

Philippe Coutinho is sold for £145m and Liverpool are linked with Thomas Lemar and Riyad Mahrez.
This can only mean one thing…
Welcome to Anfield, James Ward-Prowse!

Almost 32 years ago Mark Hughes left England to play for Barcelona, which means in 2050, Coutinho will get sacked as manager of Stoke City. Thank me later if anyone backs this 😂
