Cristiano Ronaldo was controversially sent off against Valencia as he made his Champions League debut for Juventus in Spain on Wednesday night.
The Italian club’s star summer signing was shown a straight red with less than half an hour of the Group H clash played at Mestalla after appearing to grab at Valencia defender Jeison Murillo’s head.
Following a lengthy and tearful exit from the pitch, his remaining Juventus teammates managed to claim a 0-2 win thanks to two penalties from replacement spot-kick taker Miralem Pjanić.

Has to go. Absolutely vicious. The guy probably spent hours doing his hair, getting it just right, then Ronaldo just ruffles it, no shits given. No place for that in the game.

Winning 2-0 away from home.
Ronaldo sent off and misses their game.
City losing 2-0 at home.Could be Man Utd's best Champions League night since the great David Moyes led them to the Quarter-Finals.

Ronaldo sent off for what appears to be absolutely nothing. If only there was a technology to give referees a better look… Oh wait.

Ronaldo gets sent off on purpose so he'll be suspended for the Man Utd game. Great show of respect IMO.

I suspect that the referee is a fan of Messi.

Ronaldo not going back to Old Trafford is a world tragedy.

It looked like Ronaldo was playing the kid's game, "Duck, Duck, Goose," and Murillo didn't like being touched on the head as the Goose, which, in my eyes, is more of a red card for Murillo for being a poor sport. Just be the Goose and stop crying about it. https://t.co/lOlLuLSBoq

Martial has scored for Man Utd, Renato Sanches has scored for Bayern Munich and Ronaldo has been sent off.
That's why the Champions League is best thing there is for entertainment value. Miles better than Eastenders.
