Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 27: Strikers
Resurgent Tottenham Hotspur maverick Emmanuel Adebayor followed his winner against Everton with two more goals in the 4-0 win at Newcastle United, taking his tally to eight in ten games since being drafted back into the fold.
You can get him for a relatively affordable £8.1m, a gamble which could reap instant dividends if he sticks it to Norwich City at Carrow Road on Sunday the way he sticking it to all-comers of late.
Luis Suárez’s relative barren spell has been tempered by the form of £10.1m teammate Daniel Sturridge, who has seven goals in just six games since his return from injury.
To the many of you out there with Suárez as your captain: you might want to consider a change in captaincy in time for the visit to Anfield of Swansea City this weekend.
Then again, it could be a golden opportunity for Suárez to get back on track, so proceed with caution.
Stoke City’s £5.5m Peter Crouch has scored in each of his last two games and has a good recent scoring record against Manchester City, who he shall line up against on Saturday at the Etihad.
City are phenomenal at home but not necessarily so at the back, so we wouldn’t be surprised to see Crouch slotting again.
Everton’s £4.6m Steven Naismith and West Bromwich Albion’s £5.1m Victor Anichebe have both shown themselves adept at stepping off the bench to score in recent works, so they’re looking like nifty bargain options for those struggling to free up funds.
This weekend takes the Toffees to Chelsea, against whom Naismith has scored twice in two games, while West Brom host bottom-of-the-table Fulham.
