
The slightly odd #StevieLAG hashtag, contrived to accompany LA Galaxy’s tweet confirming the signing of Steven Gerrard, led to a many more tweets poking fun at the announcement.
Gerrard joins the MLS club as a designated player and is due to arrive in America after the current Premier League season has finished, in July.
