Morning folks, Jonny Forumer reporting for duty. Kieran Richardson’s summer move to Fulham has presented Tottenham Hotspur youngster Danny Rose to stake his claim for Sunderland’s left-back berth while on loan at the Stadium of Light, and he did his cause no harm with an assured performance during the Black Cats’ 1-0 win over Wigan Athletic at the Stadium of Light on Saturday. Has Martin O’Neill pulled a masterstroke here? The good folk at online Mackems joint Ready to Go sure seem encouraged…

Very impressed with Rose yesterday – looked very composed on the ball.
We’ve been lacking someone who can bring the ball out of defence or play a decent pass and there were a few occasions yesterday when he just took the extra second to look up and make sure he made the most out of possession. Decent tackler too.
Dan90…
Starting to show fitness and improvement, also good link up with McClean
stretch…
Excellent prospect, if a little small
Fetch Fletch…
I was surprised how strong he is for his size! Held a couple of players off and was also happy to throw himself into the odd challenge.
Royston Vasey…
My mate who is a Spurs season ticket holder texted me on Tuesday at MK saying that he hoped we liked him.
I guess he isn’t a fan although I think he’s been pretty good up to now.
Roger Mackem…
Already our best LB for years.
Julio…
He is a much better football / left-back then Kieran Richardson will ever be
knitting away…
Good player, worthy successor to Richardson
ChrisAhsley…
I think people’s opinions of him were based on his performances on the wing, he’s been canny so far but still early days
Storts…
Probably true – one of the best things Harry Redknap did was tell Rose he’s a full-back. He’s twice the player at left-back than left-wing
oldboy…
Very exciting prospect if we can keep hold of him. He says he wants to stay but knowing Daniel Levy he’ll probably wanr £45m for him.
