Harry Redknapp says he agreed to be Birmingham City’s new manager after hearing that Prime Minister Theresa May wants to make the UK a tax haven.

The PM’s proposed low-tax, low-regulation state of affairs convinced the former Spurs, West Ham and Portsmouth boss to take on struggling Blues as they bid to avoid relegation to League 1.

His dog Rosie told Football Burp: “Harry was toying with the idea of taking on another crackpot job like the Jordan one or the QPR one.

“In Birmingham City he feels like he has landed the crackpot job of his dreams, the real deal.
