Fernando Torres was given a roasting at the Didier Drogba Foundation Ball by the winner of an auction for a training session with Didier Drogba himself.
The big spender donated £15k to the charity for the privilege and couldn’t resist having a go at the Spaniard while up on stage to collect his prize, declaring:
“I’m giving this to Fernando Torres”
While Didier didn’t crack a smile, the audience, presumably including many Chelsea supporters, fell about laughing.
Torres, a £50m signing for Chelsea in January 2011, had not scored since October before finally bagging a brace against Leicester City on Sunday.
Guests at the charity ball, which managed to raise £250k for the foundation, included Wretch 32, Estelle, Donna Air and Princess Beatrice as well as Chelsea stars Ashley Cole, John Terry, Frank Lampard and his fiancee Christine Bleakley.
Shaun Wright-Phillips and Djibril Cissé both briefly took charge of the tunes at the annual event which has seen some great moments in the past.
