After another disappointing result, this time in the form of a 1-1 draw at League Two Wycombe Wanderers in the FA Cup third round, some fans were very upset.
Rémi Garde’s side lie bottom of the Premier League with just 8 points after 20 games and a poor performance against lower league opposition provided supporters with little optimism for any improvement in the near future.
One man waited behind after the game and gave his particularly vocal views to the players and coaching staff as they boarded the team bus.
Aston Villa blog My Old Man Said quote a message from a reported friend of one man in the video, who claims:
What that video doesn’t show is him having a conversation and laughing with the female Police officer the whole time we was waiting for the players, or him getting the small girl onto the coach to get her shirt signed by Kozak as he boarded the coach way before everyone else or him congratulating the Wycombe players as they left the stadium.
They also point out that the view from the other side of the bus puts a slightly less intimidating slant on the incident:
Aston Villa captain Micah Richards also sought to allay some of the fans’ fears before leaving the pitch following the final whistle of the 1-1 draw at Wycombe:
Vital Villa quote a supporter as saying:
The guy next to me with the beard knocked on the dugout, they both turned round, we said they were disgraceful and obviously didn’t care.
With that Guzan told him to f**k off, I knocked the dug out Lescott, told him he is supposed to be Villa to which he replied I am, he turned away, I knocked the dug out again and said why are you not acting like one with which he said f**k off.
When Micah came round to us he placated the situation and understood our frustrations.
I may look aggressive in the papers but was angry more than anything. It’s breaking my heart what is happening at our great club.
