Xherdan Shaqiri seemed to disappear into Jürgen Klopp’s coat at the end of Liverpool’s 2-1 FA Cup 3rd Round defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Goals for Raúl Jiménez and Rúben Neves handed Wolves the win in the Monday night match at Molineux, with Divock Origi scoring for the Reds.
And just as Liverpool saw their hopes of FA Cup glory vanish, Swiss midfielder Shaqiri appeared to vanish inside Klopp’s jacket.
The German manager went over to hug his player at the final whistle, then applauded the travelling supporters as Shaqiri disappeared behind his puffer jacket.
It was of course an optical illusion, one helped along no doubt by the disparity in height between the twon.
Shaqiri has enjoyed a successful start to life at Anfield, with six goals in his first twenty appearances for his top-of-the-table side.
