A frustrated West Ham fan managed to hit Leicester’s Demarai Gray with the ball after it went into the stands during a Premier League clash under the lights at the London Stadium on Friday night.

With the away side leading David Moyes’s new team 0-1 early on in the first-half, West Ham were awarded a throw in.

Returning the ball to the pitch, shortly after Gray had unsportingly nudged it over the digital advertising hoardings, the supporter managed to whack the visiting player on the back with it.

Andy Carroll serenely caught the rebound and the game finished 1-1.
