Extreme winds in today’s Europa League qualification between Rosenborg and Ventspils from soccer
The Europa League second qualifying round match between Ventspils and Rosenborg went ahead amidst strong winds, leading to chaotic scenes on the pitch.
Thursday’s clash at the Ventspils Stadions in Latvia saw the ball blowing around haphazardly as the visiting Norwegian side romped to a 5-1 win.

They fell behind after just five minutes, with Evgeny Kozlov scoring for the Latvian Higher League club.
But goals from Dino Islamović (2), Anders Konradsen, Carlo Holse and Kristoffer Zachariassen turned the game on its head.
The home team were also reduced to ten men when Dmitrijs Litvinskis saw red midway through the second half.
