A team of lookalikes calling themselves the Kloppelgangers are set to compete in this year’s FA People’s Cup, a small-sided tournament for grassroots sides.

Their manager is of course a lookalike of Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp, with men resembling Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel and Tottenham Hotspur’s Eric Dier providing defensive coverage.

The midfield is manned by lookalikes of Arsenal’s Mesut Özil and Manchester United’s Paul Pogba, with Liverpool’s Sadio Mané and Manchester City’s Sergio Agüero in attack.

Although some of the likenesses fall just a little bit short of uncanny, The Kloppelgangers are bound to turn heads when they take to the field.

The People’s Cup will take place at the FA’s national football centre at St George’s Park, with the first round scheduled for February 23rd and 24th.

Regional semi-finals are penned in for a month later, before the grand finals weekend on April 27th and 28th.

Highlights will be available for online viewing at BBC Get Inspired.
