A strong gust of wind teed up Gorica’s Kristijan Lovrić to score a peach of a volley against Šibenik in a Croatian top flight match.

Friday’s game at the Stadium Šubićevac was well into stoppage time when the home team’s goalkeeper launched a goal kick in search of an equaliser.

Unfortunately for him, the adverse weather conditions saw the ball hang in the air and drop back towards the penalty area.

Lovrić, who has a history of spectacular strikes, was perfectly placed to guide the ball back past the despairing ‘keeper and wrap up a 3-1 win for the visitors.
