Andy Robinson was the Stockport substitute sent off seconds after his introduction to their game against Solihull Moors at Damson Park on Saturday.
Just moments after being cleared to enter the pitch, the assistant referee who was monitoring the substitution waved his flag to signal to the referee that something was wrong.
Following a brief discussion, the referee walked over to Robinson and showed him a red card.
And, unbelievably, Robinson has been immediately sent off. It is a complete mystery to the press box as to why…

Confusion reigned amongst the loud and angry players and fans but apparently the assistant claimed Robinson swore at him, although some sources are suggesting there was a problem with his kit.
Seven minutes of stoppage time were added to the end of the match after a lengthy and spirited debate, but the decision stood.
