SpVgg Fürth assistant manager Andre Mijatović sneaked a peak at a tactics note absentmindedly thrown towards him by Hamburg’s Gōtoku Sakai.
Monday’s 2. Bundesliga match at the Volksparkstadion took an unusual turn when Hamburg’s Hwang Hee-chan went off injured in the first half.

Forced into a rethink, manager Hannes Wolf wrote down his new game plan on a slip of paper and tasked Sakai with passing on the message.
The Japanese-American right-back showed the note to his side’s captain Aaron Hunt, who presumably relayed its contents onto the rest of their team-mates.

Sakai then threw the note to the touchline, where it landed tantalisingly in front of Mijatović.
Needless to say, Mijatović went over to grab the note before retreating to run the rule over them in the dugout area.
Brilliant. Sakai gets some paper instructions, he throws it onto the pitch, and one of the Furth coaches picks it up! #HSVSGF

His opportunism may well have played its part in lowly Fürth holding out for 85 minutes at 2nd placed Hamburg despite having Julian Green sent off on 67 minutes.
Nevertheless, Hunt grabbed a later winner for the home side to help them in their quest for promotion.
