Watch the moment some Slovenia players got sprayed by a sprinkler before their 1-0 World Cup qualifying defeat to Scotland.

The Slovenians were warming up on the pitch at Hampden Park, volleying the ball to one another in a circle.

Indeed this video clip begins with one player very impressively flicking it on with his head after it was fired at him from point-blank range.

All seemed to be going smoothly enough until the sprinkler suddenly went off, dousing the players and sending them scattering.

Although they seem to take it in good humour, it probably wasn’t the ideal preparation for a game that was settled by a Chris Martin goal in the 88th minute.

It’s not exactly unheard of to get drenched in Scotland, but this isn’t usually how it happens.
