Watch as a referee pulls a gun on a player at an amateur match in Brazil between Brumadinho and Amantes da Bola.

Referee Gabriel Murta revealed he was carrying a handgun and started brandishing it after having been kicked and punched inn a violent attack by an Amantes da Bola player.

Murta was eventually calmed and persuaded not to use the firearm by a fellow official.

The referee, who also works as a police officer, is now reportedly set for a psychological assessment before potentially having his ability to officiate games revoked.
