VIDEO: RB Leipzig’s Yussuf Poulsen searches out interviewer in long distance post-match interview

Socially-distanced chats follow first Bundesliga games as coronavirus restrictions are eased in Germany.

Yussuf Poulsen (Leipzig) long distance post match interview from soccer

RB Leipzig forward Yussuf Poulsen started looking for the interviewer before his ‘long distance’ post-match interview was conducted after a 1-1 draw with Freiburg on Saturday.

The Bundesliga returned to much fanfare at the weekend following a substantial break due to an outbreak of COVID-19 in Germany.

With strict social distancing measures enforced, the Danish international remained on the pitch while being spoken to by a reporter seated in the stands at the Red Bull Arena.

Before speaking into the carefully-protected microphone, Poulsen dramatically searched for where the questions were coming from.

The German-speaking journalist has been translated as saying:

[…] in the stands at the stadium and seeing you.

Yeah, wait, where?

You can’t see me, you gotta look the other way, you’re standing right behind the board.

Look here.

Can you see me?

Here I am, waving.

YUSSUF, BOY!
