VIDEO: Player hits woodwork four times in five minutes in Israeli second tier match

Flurry of frustration for Eli Elbaz of Sektzia Nes Tziona.

Sektzia Nes Tziona forward Eli Elbaz hit the woodwork four times in five minutes during an Israeli second tier match at Hapoel Petach-Tikva on Monday.

The sequence began on 82 minutes when he cut inside from the right and pinged a left-footed shot onto the crossbar.

It continued in the 85th minute as he looked to hit the same spot of the bar once again before bringing down the rebound and smacking it against the upright.

He then hit the post with a low shot from outside the area shortly afterwards.

Fortunately the near misses didn’t prevent his side from claiming a 1-0 win in the Liga Leumit fixture at the HaMoshava Stadium.
