A German amateur club’s player was hit in the face by a light falling from the ceiling of their changing room after a header rally went wrong.
The team were attempting the ‘kopfball challenge’ in which the ball is headed back and forth before the last person tries to get it into a bucket.
Returning from a training session in high spirits, SV Viktoria Winnekendonk 1922 from Kevelaer had a go at it.
But, unfortunately for them, it ended badly.
The ball appeared to break the roof of the building after it was thrown in frustration following the breakdown of the move.
A light fitting crashed down and ended up hitting one of their number in the face.
