A man on crutches invaded the pitch and ended up attacking security personnel during an A-league match between Central Coast Mariners and Sydney FC.
Saturday’s game was halted after 68 minutes when the injured home fan made it into one of the goal mouths and paraded about with his crutches aloft for the amusement of the crowd.

He reacted angrily when he was then led off the pitch, at one point appearing to take a swing at someone with one of his crutches.
The walking aid was retrieved and handed back to him, only to be forcibly removed from his grasp when he continued to act aggressively.

Visitors Sydney had taken a 2-1 lead through Brandon O’Neill just minutes beforehand, an advantage they held until the end.
Matt Simon put the Mariners ahead on 16 minutes, with former Reading forward Adam le Fondre equalising from the penalty spot before half-time.

The defeat left Central Coast anchored to the foot of the table with only two points from their first six games.
Sydney are up in 3rd place, just two points behind table-toppers Perth Glory.
