Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola complimented Brazilian journalist Fred Caldeira on his “sexy” moustache during a press conference on Friday.

Speaking to the media ahead of his side’s trip to Arsenal, Guardiola interrupted Caldeira’s question about Fernandinho’s leadership qualities.

He said to TNT Sports’s English football correspondent:

I really like your moustache, Fred. You are so attractive and sexy.

Guardiola appeared to be in relaxed mood going into Sunday’s match at the Emirates, and it’s little wonder with his team in such strong form.

They have won seventeen games in a row in all competitions and currently have a ten-point lead at the top of the Premier League table.
