The Portuguese side won 2-0 at the Stožice Stadium in Slovenia with second half goals apiece from Dany Mota and Francisco Trincão.

A midfielder, Gonçalves has been in sensational form for Sporting Lisbon this season, scoring 15 goals in 22 Primeira Liga games.
