Argentina striker Higuaín scored 91 goals in 146 appearances for Napoli, making them as close to a one-man team as they’ve been since Diego Maradona’s heyday.
He’s also scored 30 times in 63 games for his country, although he missed a penalty in the shoot-out of their recent Copa América final defeat to Chile.
Mind you, so did Lionel Messi so he’s in good company.
Speaking of company, France defender Evra also tasted defeat in the final of a major tournament this summer, losing to Portugal at Euro 2016.
So perhaps once Evra dances himself into a standstill, he can sit down with Higuaín for a spot of mutual consolation.
