A shot from Southampton’s Nathan Redmond that went high and wide of the goal ended up hitting a Newcastle fan in the face.
The home side beat Southampton 3-1 in the late kick-off at St. James’ Park on Saturday.
Poor attempt at a header

Nathan Redmond’s speculative effort from outside the area was wildly off target with his team already trailing in added time at the end of the second half.
Apparently unable to see the ball coming towards him, one unfortunate supporter sat in the stand behind the goal is caught full in the face after it lands on his head.
His flat cap is knocked off and the commentator helpfully mentions that a ball to the face while wearing glasses can be extremely painful.
The man is said to have later been shown with a bleeding nose on coverage of the game.
