Mohamed Salah spread the ball out wide to Joël Matip during Liverpool’s FA Cup match at Shrewsbury – the problem being he’d just replaced him as a substitute.
The Egyptian forward spied a red shirt in his peripheral vision during the 4th round tie at New Meadow, but alas the intended recipient was no longer part of the action.
Salah was left red-faced as the ball rolled out for a throw-in to the League One strugglers, who fought back from two goals down to earn a replay.
A second-half double from Jason Cummings ensured that the two teams will meet again at Anfield a week on Tuesday.
