Three Middlesbrough fans were tricked into dressing up as Spice Girls for Saturday’s trip to Wigan, arriving for pre-match drinks in full costume.
It seems their friends had told them that they were all going to the match in fancy dress – but this was just a ploy.

In this clip, we see the trio of unwitting Boro supporters turning up to the pub in Baby, Ginger and Scary outfits.
Needless to say, they are greeted with uproarious laughter – as well as an airing of the 1997 hit “Spice Up Your Life”.
