Mexican side Club León held a naming ceremony at their stadium for a tiny lion cub, recently born at a zoo near their location in the city in Guanajuato.
Just a few club staff and waiting press were privy to the animal’s visit after he was brought to the empty Estadio León by expert handlers from Zooleon on Thursday.

The little lion was presented with a certificate after marking a paw print on it and named Sambu on the day the team announced the signing of veteran midfielder Rubens Sambueza for next season.
Reportedly born just a couple of weeks ago, the cub was able to have little play with a football and was pictured being held up by Club León’s lion mascot.
