Bias shines through.

A Latvian commentator’s bias shone through as Riga-based team RFS conceded a late goal to Slovenian side Olimpija NK to exit the Europa League.

The score was level at 3-3 on aggregate when Stefan Savić scored in stoppage time at the Daugava Stadium on Thursday to send the hosts crashing out in the first qualifying round.

As the European dream ends for RFS, who finished 3rd in last season’s Virslīga, the commentator emits a weary sigh before falling silent.

Olimpija will face Turkish Süper Lig outfit Yeni Malatyaspor in the next phase of the competition.
