Joe Hart uploaded a video apology following his social media post saying “job done” after Spurs crashed out of the Europa League to Dynamo Zagreb.

A second half hattrick from Mislav Oršić turned the tie on its head in Thursday’s Round of 16 second leg at the Stadion Maksimir, the Croatian side’s 3-0 win clinching a 3-2 aggregate victory.

Substitute goalkeeper Hart then confused many by posting the apparently victorious image to Instagram, which he attributes to the person running the account thinking they’d won.

Hart, clearly mortified, says that he only saw the ensuing furore this morning and he decided to go on camera to issue a clarification.
