Hannover goalkeeper Ron-Robert Zieler accidentally punched a Karlsruher player in the groin after conceding a 95th minute equaliser.

Daniel Gordon made it 3-3 at the end of Saturday’s 2. Bundesliga match at the Wildparkstadion, just minutes after Hannover had taken the lead.

Zieler, formerly of Manchester United and Leicester City, tried to fist the ball over the bar in an outburst of frustration.

But he ended up making contact with an opponent in a sensitive area, earning himself a second yellow card and a sending off in the process.
