Former Benfica player Eliseu took to the Estádio da Luz pitch on a scooter to join his erstwhile teammates during Saturday’s Primeira Liga title celebrations.

Eliseu, now 35, won three top-flight championships in his four seasons at the club before leaving last summer.

But he clearly retains a close affinity with his ex-colleagues if their reaction to his arrival here is anything to go by.

He rides over to them as they celebrate on the field following the 4-1 win over Santa Clara that saw them clinch 1st place at the expense of Porto.

They react with delight when they see him and mob him before he rides off again.
