Flamengo right-back Pará handed the Florida Cup to a fan instead of giving him his phone back while posing for a victorious selfie on Saturday.

The player, known more formally as Marcos Rogério Ricci Lopes, took the supporter’s phone to take a picture with the trophy.

After taking the snap, he passed the cup into the stands but quickly realised his mistake.

Brazilian club Flamengo had just been crowned as winners of the friendly competition after beating Budesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt 1-0 at Orlando City Stadium.

The day beforehand they beat Dutch giants Ajax 4-3 on penalties following a 2-2 draw in normal time.

They are the third side from Brazil to win the Florida Cup after Atlético Mineiro in 2016 and São Paulo in 2017
