Someone has recorded themselves sitting in front of their computer while singing a song for Nathan Jones after his appointment as the new manager of Stoke City.
Jones left Luton Town to join Stoke on Wednesday, following Gary Rowett’s departure, ending nearly three years at the League Two side in which he earned promotion from League Two.
Alex Noble and Charlie Burley from the For The EFL Of It Football League podcast apparently came up with this Nathan Jones song which has been shared on Twitter.
Couple of things to mention:
1) Not Stoke fans
2) Attempted to make shit parody to go viral and it’s working nicely
3) Not Stoke fans
4) Listen to our latest podcast now: https://t.co/sEqPuVidUC #SCFC #LTFC— For The EFL Of It (@EFLOfIt) January 10, 2019
Not as excited by the move is Luton chief executive Gary Sweet, who has been quoted as saying that it was a “bit unethical”.
The tune is based on Aqua’s notorious ’90s hit Doctor Jones.
The pair have been forced to deny being Stoke fans after criticism from fellow supporters.
Probably the best tweet surrounding our recent Nathan Jones chant – thanks for your feedback Aaron #SCFC #LTFC https://t.co/PGzcobxJXu
