Lengthy animal pitch invasion.

Watch as a dog stops play for a full seven minutes of Halesowen Town’s Northern Premier League clash with Skelmersdale United on Saturday.

The beagle, apparently belonging to Halesowen defender Asa Charlton, bounded around the pitch enthusiastically despite several failed attempts to remove it.

Perhaps the longest dog pitch invasion ever caught on camera, the playful pooch manages to evade capture by players, stewards and fans alike before being eventually collared by its owner.

Town manager John Hill said after the game:

It may have been really frustrating at the time but it’s all good fun.

Asa managed to get the dog off the pitch, and I do believe it was Asa’s family dog.
