A comedy Furman University soccer video has been discovered, featuring a young Clint Dempsey in his college days at the “private, coeducational, liberal arts college” in Greenville, South Carolina, United States.
Pitting his wits against fellow pupils Richie Cravem, Rhett Abraham and Trey “Sweet Feet” Sullivan, the Spurs midfielder shows off his silky skills to the camera throughout the slightly tongue-in-cheek multi-round competition.

First there’s keepy-uppies, in which Clint seems disappointed to drop-out. Next it’s a test of acrobatic shots and then a “freestyle” round.
To his dismay, Dempsey ends up coming third out of the group of four.
