A Portuguese Primeira Liga game between Chaves and Nacional had to be paused while one of the assistant referees went to the toilet.
Chaves won the crucial bottom-of-the-table clash at their Estádio Municipal Eng. Manuel Branco Teixeira on Sunday afternoon, dominating the game and coming away with a 4-1 win.
Midway through the second half, with the home side already leading, assistant ref Jorge Cruz ran off the pitch after a moment of brief communication between the officials.
As referee Luis Godinho appeared to have to explain to the game’s participants, it turns out he needed to go to the loo.
Cruz was applauded back onto the pitch by the fans when he eventually returned, before jokingly being shown a red card by the main man.
