A fan’s pet cat knocked over the television while they were watching Thursday’s Europa League match between Feyenoord and CSKA Moscow.

The puss had climbed onto the top of the flat screen TV while it was showing the fixture, with its owner filming the unfurling incident for posterity.

Presumably they were just trying to capture a cute clip and had not counted on the disastrous consequences, which must have caused alarm for both parties.

In the game itself, Dutch Eredivisie side Feyenoord won 3-1 at their De Kuip stadium to leave them lying 3rd in Group K, with CSKA bottom and yet to win.
