Cardiff City winger Josh Murphy gave his matchday shirt to a crying child following Friday’s 1-1 draw at home to Fulham.

Murphy had earlier put Neil Warnock’s Bluebirds into the lead with a 42nd minute goal, only for Aleksandar Mitrović to equalise for the Cottagers soon after.

At the end of the match, he came over to a young boy in tears in the stands and handed him his jersey as a memento of the occasion.

With two wins, two draws and two defeats from their opening six fixtures, Cardiff currently lie 13th in the Championship table.

They were relegated from the Premier League last season, along with Scott Parker’s Fulham.
