TV coverage missed Jaushua Sotirio’s goal for Western Sydney Wanderers against Central Coast Mariners after cutting away at the crucial moment.

Wanderers were 1-0 up in the 67th minute of the Australian A-League match at the Spotless Stadium when winger Bruce Kamau’s shot was parried towards Sotirio.

Instead of focusing on the ongoing action, the camera inexplicably switches to a close-up of Kamau while Sotirio slots the rebound.

Friday night’s 2-0 win leaves Western Sydney Wanderers 6th in the table after seven games, while Central Coast Mariners are rock-bottom without a win.

Wanderers are managed by former Liverpool and Germany defender Markus Babbel, who took over in May after stints at Stuttgart, Hertha BSC, Hoffenheim and FC Luzern.
