One boy told a local news reporter on live television that he didn’t want to guess what the score might be in England’s match against Czech Republic because he “doesn’t really watch football”.

England faced the Czechs in Group D of Euro 2020 at Wembley on Monday night and earlier in the day BBC Points West, the BBC’s regional TV news programme for the West of England, sent someone out to a street in Bristol to garner opinions on the game.

Some of the children who lived there were asked about their thoughts on what the score might be.

The last to answer was seemingly pleased to feature on the live broadcast:

Yay!

Despite being given the same question as the rest of the group, he was seemingly unsure as to what was said:

What?

And then, after the interviewer clarified his query, abruptly replied:

I don’t know, I don’t really watch football.
